I am an academic researcher studying social data and social networks. I obtained a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University in 2014. This coming year I am post-doc’ing at Microsoft Research Redmond, hosted by Eric Horvitz. In August 2015 I will be joining the faculty at Stanford as an Assistant Professor of Management Science & Engineering. My homepage can be found here.
This blog is intended to organize (i) announcements and commentaries about forthcoming papers, (ii) brief research observations that do not merit formal publication, and (iii) anything else that ends up feeling appropriate. The title of the blog is a reference to the founding motto of the Royal Statistical Society, “Aliis exterendum”, meaning “to be threshed out by others”.
